The audio files below offer possibilities for what arrangements of the different parts could sound like. As the theme of the resource is communal singing, there’s a level of fluidity and flexibility that’s been built into the learning journey of each song. Some of the audio tracks also include vocables, which support learning the melody by ear while also reflecting on a feature of Haitian communal singing. The audio is therefore intended primarily as a guide to the performance approach. While the instrumental tracks can be used as backing tracks, the audio is best approached as a learning guide for the ear, with the sheet music providing a separate route into learning, arranging and performing the material.
