Celebrating the launch of the book A Dance Through History by Mike Ruff and the fiftieth anniversary establishing of Nonsuch History and Dance charity.
There will be a chance to get a signed copy of the book, short presentations, costumed dance demonstrations and dancing for all with live music.
All dances will be simple and taught by Darren Royston and Mike Ruff.
A Dance Through History looks at the story of English Country Dancing alongside social and costume history contributions from Pat Simpson and Ann Wise.
Lavishly illustrated with clear instructions for twenty dances.
Nonsuch History and Dance is a national charity, UNESCO group member of International Dance Council, founded in 1966 by Peggy Dixon a performance company, to teach, train and entertain Through the Dances from History, from all historical periods including: Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and Victorian.
Doors open at 5pm; event starts at 6pm.
